A Collective Impact Saving Millions of Lives
Since its creation in 2008, this alliance has demonstrated how collaboration between institutions, businesses, and individuals can create extraordinary impact. Thanks to the generosity of over 400,000 donors—including companies, clients, employees, and micro-donations—€18,106,678 has been raised. Combined with €33,529,570 contributed by Fundación “la Caixa” and the Gavi Matching Fund (an initiative by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), a total of €51,636,248 has been mobilized to support child vaccination in vulnerable areas.
The results of this joint effort are overwhelmingly positive: more than 11.5 million children across 10 countries in Africa and Latin America have received life-saving vaccines. These numbers aren’t just statistics—they represent saved futures, protected families, and stronger communities.
Scientific Backing: ISGlobal and Global Health
One of the alliance’s key pillars is its scientific rigor, ensured by the participation of ISGlobal (Barcelona Institute for Global Health), a global leader in public health research and action. ISGlobal brings together leading institutions such as Hospital Clínic, the University of Barcelona, the Government of Catalonia, and other public and private entities, all united by one goal: fighting health inequalities.
Between 2016 and 2019, ISGlobal was part of Gavi’s Board as a member of the Civil Society Advisory Committee, and since 2020, its Director of Global Analysis and Development has represented civil society organizations on this board. This academic and technical support ensures that every donated euro is invested efficiently, transparently, and with maximum impact.

Cholera (an infection that can become fatal within hours without treatment)

Hepatitis B (which can lead to liver cancer)
Measles and Rubella (responsible for epidemic outbreaks in unvaccinated communities)
Our role in the vaccine supply chain reinforces our dedication to global health, ensuring these vital medicines reach those most in need, even in the most remote areas.
