The Day We Swapped the Office for Sneakers: This Is How We Experienced the Race Against Childhood Cancer
On Saturday, September 27th, we traded our usual work attire for tracksuits and sneakers. The reason? Together with our families, we took part in the CRIS Race Against Cancer, and we want to share why this day left a lasting mark on us.
This isn’t your typical race. Here, the winner isn’t the fastest, but the one who raises the most funds for research. Because in this race, every step counts, and every euro matters. The CRIS Foundation allocates 100% of the proceeds to projects fighting pediatric cancer.
A Sea of People with One Heartbeat
In this third edition, the Dehesa de Navalcarbón in Las Rozas was filled with more than just runners. Families, patients, doctors, researchers, children, and even dogs gathered—all united for the same cause.
Witnessing the community come together to ensure no child faces cancer without hope fueled our energy throughout the 5K walk/run.
Our Contribution
At MANA PHARMA, we contributed €3,500 to the total fundraising of nearly €200,000. But one detail moved us especially: we were the company that raised the most funds per employee. This achievement isn’t just ours—it’s a testament to the genuine commitment of every person at MANA, led by example from our leadership and supported by the families who joined us.
More Than a Race: A Symbol
This event was about more than sweating and crossing a finish line. Every stride was a message of support for those fighting the disease, a tribute to those no longer with us, and a firm commitment to a better future.
This journey is long, but it’s traveled step by step, and it’s better when shared. We’ll keep running, because we’re convinced that together, when we run, we heal.
